In a way, This World is Not My Own is an attempt to correct history. Because of the time she lived in and the place she called home, the south in the 20th century, Nellie Mae Rowe never received the recognition she deserved. Making a film about a relatively unknown artist is a challenge. We need your support to help champion this ambitious project about a vibrant artist finally getting her due, an artist who’s story and imaginative artwork transcends time.
